Adam Jasser heads Reuters editorial operations in Central Europe, Balkans and Turkey. He supervises Reuters bureaus in 15 countries, stretching from the Baltic coast to the Black Sea. In this role, he leads a multicultural team of over 100 reporters providing real-time news, pictures and video from the region to the financial markets and media clients.
Mr. Jasser joined Reuters in 1990 in Warsaw where he built Reuters’ first national service in ex-communist Europe, geared to the rapidly developing financial market. In 1996, Mr Jasser became chief sub-editor on the financial desk in London. Following that, he was Reuters chief correspondent in Finland, covering the first Finnish EU presidency in 1999. His next assignment was Bureau Chief in Frankfurt, Germany, where for three years he led a 50-person team covering some of Europe’s leading companies as well as the European Central Bank.
Mr. Jasser graduated from the Warsaw University with a degree in American literature. He is married and has three children. Outside work, Mr Jasser’s passions include gardening and sailing.
